(the “Company”) handles personal information that the Company acquires through its business as follows.
1.Action Policy
The Company recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and will endeavor to comply with relevant laws and regulations including the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and guidelines etc. and properly handle personal information in performing its business.
2.Proper Acquisition
The Company will acquire personal information to the extent necessary for its business by proper and lawful means.
3.Purposes of Use
The Company limits the purposes of using personal information to the scope of purposes below, and will use it to the extent necessary for achieving the purposes of use but not beyond the scope. If the purposes of using certain personal information are limited separately pursuant to laws and regulations, then the Company will not use personal information other than for the said purposes.

  • (1)The purposes of responding to consultation requests made to the Company;
  • (2)The purposes of advising on businesses for which the Company is considering a contribution or loan, or businesses offered to the Company for consideration;
  • (3)The purposes of providing information on the Company’s business activities;
  • (4)The purposes of communication for seminars, etc. held by the Company; and
  • (5)The purposes of otherwise performing the business of the Company as prescribed in the Act on the Fund Corporation for the Overseas Development of Japan’s ICT and Postal Services.
4.Use other than for Intended Purposes
The Company may use personal information beyond the scope of purposes specified in Paragraph 3 without acquiring the consent of the principal that provided the
information in cases of falling under any of the following items:

  • (1)cases pursuant to laws and regulations;
  • (2)cases in which there is a need to protect a human life, body or fortune, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the principal that provided the information;
  • (3)cases in which there is a special need to enhance public hygiene or promote fostering healthy children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the principal that provided the information; and
  • (4)cases in which there is a need to cooperate with a central government organization or a local government, or a person entrusted by them performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and there is a possibility that obtaining the consent of the principal that provided the information would interfere with the performance of the said affair.
5.Restriction on Third Party Provision
The Company will not provide any personal information to a third party in principle,except in cases of having obtained the consent of the principal that provided the information or cases pursuant to laws and regulations; provided, however, that in cases of entrusting any handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use, in cases of merger, etc., and in cases of joint use with a certain person specified separately, the Company may provide personal information to a third party without obtaining the consent of the principal that provided the information.
6.Security Control Measures
The Company will endeavor to store and manage the personal information acquired in correct and up-to-date condition as well as take reasonable security control measures to prevent leak, etc. The Company will also properly supervise the employees and consignee handling personal information acquired.
7.Continued Improvement
The Company will endeavor to review this Policy as appropriate, considering developments in information technology and changes in societal demands, and continuously improve the handling of personal information acquired.
8.Request Procedure such as disclosure etc
The Company will endeavor to take appropriate and prompt actions in accordance with laws and regulations, in notifying the purposes of using Retained Personal Data (meaning “Retained Personal Data” as prescribed in Article 16, Paragraph 4 of the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information”; the same shall apply hereinafter),in response to requests of disclosure of contents, correction, addition or deletion of contents of the Retained Personal Data against the facts, orsuspension of use, erasure,or suspension of provision to third parties. 9.Opinions/ Requests
The Company will endeavor to in good faith and promptly respond to an opinion or request concerning its handling of personal information.
10. Revisions
Any changes to this Policy will take effect when the revised Policy is posted on the Company’s website
